FRANKFORT, Ky. — Agriculture Commissioner James Comer will join state and local officials to celebrate upcoming improvements to the Anderson County Fairgrounds in a ceremony during the Lawrenceburg Horse Show at the Anderson County Fair June 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds.
“These improvements will serve the citizens of Anderson County during the fair and for other events throughout the year,” Commissioner Comer said. “The Kentucky Department of Agriculture will provide funding that will make this project a reality. I’m pleased that we could help upgrade this facility.”
The funding will be used to construct new rest room facilities, install new roofing for the concessions area, replace arena fencing, and refurbish the clubhouse.
“These improvements will add to the quality of the entire fairgrounds, which serves not only our youth and our agricultural community, but all of Anderson County,” said state Rep. Kim King, R-Harrodsburg. “Special thanks to Commissioner Comer and the Kentucky Department of Agriculture for their support.”
The Kentucky Department of Agriculture provides support for more than 100 local agricultural fairs in Kentucky as well as district, state, and national livestock shows and sales.
