FRANKFORT, Ky. — The Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA) invites members of the public to attend an open comment session on a proposed regulation for aerial recreational devices on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. EDT at the KDA office, 109 Corporate Drive, Frankfort. In 2016, the Kentucky General Assembly enacted a law requiring the KDA to promulgate administrative regulations for zip lines and other aerial recreational devices that are used for commercial or educational purposes.

To comply with this legislative mandate, the KDA has drafted a proposed regulation that is ready for review and comment from aerial recreational facility operators, patrons, and other interested members of the public. The proposed regulation, which has not yet been filed with the Legislative Research Commission, can be found here.
