FRANKFORT, Ky. – Experts from across the country will give presentations on dairy production, management, economics, and stockmanship at the Kentucky Dairy Partners Conference and Young Dairy Producer Conference Feb. 23-24 at the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green.

“These conferences will provide valuable information that Kentucky dairy producers can use to get more production from their cows and run their operations more efficiently,” Commissioner of Agriculture Ryan Quarles said. “The Kentucky Department of Agriculture is pleased to be a sponsor.”

The Dairy Awards Banquet on Feb. 23 will feature Laura Daniels, an agriculture advocate, motivational speaker, and general manager of Heartwood Farm in Cobb, Wisconsin. Commissioner Quarles is scheduled to speak during the awards banquet.

Some 350-400 people are expected to attend, and 53 vendors from throughout the nation will exhibit at the event.

The event is sponsored by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture; the Kentucky Dairy Development Council; the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food and Environment; and the American Dairy Association of Kentucky. State production awards are provided by the KDDC and Kentucky Farm Bureau. The Kentucky Quality Milk Producer and Milk Hauler awards are provided by the KDDC. The Dairy Promoter of the Year Award is provided by the ADA of Kentucky.
