Commissioner Quarles Congratulates Heaven Hill for Expansion and Dare To Care Partnership
Quarles 'Proud' of United Front Fighting Food Insecurity in Kentucky
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (October 16, 2017) — Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles released the following statement today regarding Heaven Hill’s expansion and its partnership with Dare To Care Food Bank:
“I want to congratulate Heaven Hill on the expansion of its Bernheim facility in Louisville and for its new $10,000 partnership with Dare To Care Food Bank to fund a mobile food pantry and additional cold storage for its partner agencies. Dare To Care is a key ally in the Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s Hunger Initiative, which we started a year and a half ago with the goal of reducing food insecurity in our state. I am proud to live in a state where the public, private, and nonprofit sectors are working together to help those who need it most.”
