About us

Henson Broom Shop has been in business since 1930. We are a working broom shop / country gift store in a 1930's era country store setting. We made all the brooms for the tv show, 'Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman' and Martha Stewart Living. Brooms all over the country and in foreign countries but the only place you can get one of our brooms is from us.

At Henson Broom Shop & General Store you can play checkers by the stove. You can have an RC Cola and Moonpie or put Peanuts in our Coke as you watch brooms being made. Or you can just set on the front porch and enjoy a slow lifestyle.

We also have ''Creations by Barbara''. These are the prettiest, seasonal handmade Wreaths, Baskets and Door Accents you will see anywhere. You have got to see these. We also have Walking Sticks made at Henson Broom Shop, along with our HBS ball caps. But we carry several Amish products as well. Honey, Molasses, Baskets, Hats, Butter (Yes real butter) and Candles. We even have Maple Syrup from Vermont. Hopefully Kentucky Maple Syrup from the Amish in the spring of 2007. In season we also will have Mums, Pumpkins and Apple Cider. We take tour groups and are handicapped accessible. We love to see folks take pictures so bring your camera.
